Contacts and partners

Partners are the people and organizations your business deals with — customers, vendors, and contacts.

The Contacts app (kernel module) provides the address book UI on the shared core.partner record type.

Before CRM or Sales

Install Contacts and create partner records for customers and vendors you will use on leads, quotations, and invoices.

Creating a contact

1. Open Contacts from Home.
2. Click Create (or New).
3. Fill in name, email, phone, and address.
4. Save.

Customer vs vendor

Use tags or fields as configured by your administrator. The same partner can appear on sales orders (customer) and purchase orders (vendor).

Link to employees

HR employees can link to a partner record for work contact details.
