Sales & invoicing
How operators work with Sales, Sales CRM Bridge, and Invoicing from quotation to payment.
Prerequisites
Install order: Products, Contacts, CRM, Sales, Sales CRM Bridge, Invoicing (account).
Document flow
Quotation (draft) → Quotation sent → Sales order → Customer invoice → Payment
Automation: confirming a sales order triggers a draft customer invoice (when Invoicing is installed). Posting and payment are separate steps.
Quotations
- Open Sales → Quotations.
- Select customer, add order lines (products, qty, price).
- Send marks quotation sent; Confirm creates a sales order (
state = sale).
Quotations from CRM: when an opportunity is Won, a draft quotation may already exist (Sales CRM Bridge).
Sales orders
Confirmed orders show invoice status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Nothing to invoice | Not yet billable |
| To invoice | Ready for billing |
| Invoiced | Invoice linked |
Customer invoices
- Open Invoicing → Customer invoices (or follow link from sales order).
- Review draft invoice lines (often auto-created from the order).
- Post the invoice to finalize accounting entries.
- Register payment when money is received — invoice becomes Paid.
Credit notes
Use the reverse action on a posted invoice to create a credit note (reversal wizard).
