Sales & invoicing

How operators work with Sales, Sales CRM Bridge, and Invoicing from quotation to payment.

Prerequisites

Install order: Products, Contacts, CRM, Sales, Sales CRM Bridge, Invoicing (account).

Document flow

Quotation (draft) → Quotation sent → Sales order → Customer invoice → Payment

Automation: confirming a sales order triggers a draft customer invoice (when Invoicing is installed). Posting and payment are separate steps.

Quotations

  1. Open Sales → Quotations.
  2. Select customer, add order lines (products, qty, price).
  3. Send marks quotation sent; Confirm creates a sales order (state = sale).

Quotations from CRM: when an opportunity is Won, a draft quotation may already exist (Sales CRM Bridge).

Sales orders

Confirmed orders show invoice status:

StatusMeaning
Nothing to invoiceNot yet billable
To invoiceReady for billing
InvoicedInvoice linked

Customer invoices

  1. Open Invoicing → Customer invoices (or follow link from sales order).
  2. Review draft invoice lines (often auto-created from the order).
  3. Post the invoice to finalize accounting entries.
  4. Register payment when money is received — invoice becomes Paid.

Credit notes

Use the reverse action on a posted invoice to create a credit note (reversal wizard).

Reports

Enable Report on list views (administrator) to export orders or invoices to CSV/PDF. See Export and import.
